Introduction
I was able to spend several evenings on the last week of March 2025 on Mauna Kea photographing the Milky Way. I was a little more comfortable than I was in 2022 - the isolation was a bit unnerving. It was cool but not cold in the early morning hours at around 7500 to 9000 feet above sea level.
I was particularly happy with the photos from March 29, 2025 because a fog rose up the mountain and the Milky Way seemed to rise from it.
Equipment:
Canon R5m1 (astromodified by Spencer Camera)
IRIX 15mm Blackstone
Images were not tracked - the fog was rising and I repositioned several times.
